The traditional Cultural Festival in Elverum is inland Norway’s major cultural festival. The internationally known Vertavo string quartet will be leading on among the festival’s musical highpoints.

The festival is held annually in the beginning of August. In the course of a ten-day period, concerts and other events will be organised across much of inner Eastern Norway. This year’s festival will be held from 31 July – 10 August. The youth symphony, consisting of the nation’s most talented youth will be holding three orchestra concerts led by established conductors and soloists. The Vertavo quartet and specially invited guest artists will offer a series of chamber orchestra concerts at various major farm estates, churches and other exclusive concert venues in the region. Also offered during this period are rhythmic music and outdoor concerts, festival excursions, festival pubs, children/youth concerts and art exhibitions.
