NORWEGIAN FORESTRY MUSEUM

Aquarium from High Mountain to Low Tide
This aquarium is the only one in Norway with an emphasis on
fresh water fish. How would you like to see trout and Arctic
char in a mountain lake, grayling in a deep river pool, pike
and perch in a picturesque forest pond, pikeperch in a lowland
lake or flounder at the river mouth? The museum has some saltwater
species as well. Aquarium Day is held on 27 April.
Time for Forest
The entire first floor of the museum is dedicated to the exhibition
Time for Forest. The story of the Norwegian forests is told
through objects, images, light, sound and scenography. The Hunter’s
KingdomIn this presentation you meet the various animal species
found in Norwegian forests, and how they are hunted. You will
encounter deer, small and large predators, rodents and various
bird species.
